SportSpotz is a mobile application that helps users discover, create, and join local sports sessions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

We collect the following categories of information depending on how you use the app:

Account and Profile Information

When you sign in with Google through Supabase Auth, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your profile photo URL
• Your authenticated account identifier

This information is used to create and maintain your SportSpotz profile.

Content You Provide

When you use the app, we may collect content that you choose to submit, including:

• Sports sessions you create
• Venue names and addresses you enter for sessions
• Skill level, date, time, cost, notes, and availability details for sessions
• Bookings, cancellations, waitlist activity, and join requests
• Group names, group descriptions, invite emails, and membership activity
• Images you choose to upload for sessions or groups

Limited Profile Visibility Information

Certain profile information is shown to other users as part of the app experience, such as:

• Your display name
• Your profile photo
• Your organiser or participant status in a session
• Your reliability score and related participation history where shown in the app

Technical and Service Data

We and our service providers may process limited technical data needed to operate the service, such as:

• Authentication session data
• Basic service logs
• Database records related to app usage
• File storage metadata for uploaded images

In the current app implementation:

• The Android app declares internet access only
• The app does not currently request device location permission
• The app does not currently request contacts permission
• The app does not currently include ads or advertising identifiers
• The app does not currently include third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs

We use collected information to:

• Authenticate users and maintain accounts
• Create and display user profiles
• Let users search for, create, manage, and join sports sessions
• Support bookings, waitlists, approvals, cancellations, and group participation
• Store and display images that users upload
• Protect the app, enforce rules, and prevent misuse
• Maintain reliability, moderation, and operational records
• Respond to support or privacy requests

With Other Users of the App

Information you choose to submit to the platform may be visible to other users where needed for the product to work. For example, session organisers and participants may see names and profile photos associated with a booking or request.

With Service Providers

We use Supabase and related infrastructure to provide authentication, database, realtime, and file storage services. These providers process information on our behalf to operate SportSpotz.

For Legal, Security, or Compliance Reasons

We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, investigate abuse, or protect users, the public, or our services.

Business Transfers

If SportSpotz is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide the app and its features
• Maintain records of bookings, sessions, groups, and account activity
• Meet legal, security, and operational requirements
• Resolve disputes and enforce our policies

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information processed through SportSpotz.

SportSpotz is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at support@sportspotz.com.

If your jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age for consent to digital services, you must meet that minimum age to use the app.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

You can also:

• Choose not to upload images or optional content
• Choose not to create sessions, groups, or invitations
• Sign out of the app at any time
